The gala was presided over by His Majesty King Felipe VI, Honorary President of the foundation, who emphasized,<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                &quot;I have been fortunate to get to know the CODESPA Foundation&#039;s work and many of you being recognized, which includes businesses from many different sectors and of many different types. These are a true example for all of society, and they show the various ways in which everyone can get involved in transforming and bettering our surroundings and our world.&quot;            <\/blockquote>\n\n            <footer class=\"block-quote__footer\">\n                                    <p class=\"block-quote__author\" aria-label=\"\">\n                        <span class=\"block-quote__author-name\">His Majesty King Felipe VI<\/span>\n                    <\/p>\n                                    <p class=\"block-quote__author-role\" aria-label=\"\">\n                        Honorary President of the foundation                    <\/p>\n                            <\/footer>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <h2><strong>Ferrovial, finalist in the Socially Responsible Business category<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The project, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aguaparalapaz.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Potable water<\/a> for a dignified life in the town center of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/projects\/drinking-water-for-a-decent-life-in-the-population-centre-of-el-salado-bolivar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> El Salado<\/a>, Bol\u00edvar, in Colombia, was recognized as a finalist in the <strong>Socially Responsible Business<\/strong> category. This project, which is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/our-commitment\/corporate-responsibility\/social-action\/social-infrastructure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Social Infrastructure Program<\/a> at Ferrovial, has allowed the potable water supply system to be renovated in a community especially affected by the violence that Colombia underwent in the first years of the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p>The winner in this category was Deutsche Post DHL for its project on the <em>public-private alliance for developing fair trade products for garden conditioning.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Likewise, the winners and finalists in the other categories were the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Business social innovation:<\/strong> winner Leroy Merlin for the project on the <em>public-private alliance for developing fair trade products for garden conditioning<\/em>. Finalist ADOPEM, which belongs to the group of entities from the BBVA Microfinance Foundation, with the project on <em>access to productive finance for populations living in poor provinces of the Dominican Republic.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Socially Responsible SME:<\/strong> winner <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.ferrovial.com\/en\/2017\/03\/water-on-mars-social-project-more-important-elsewhere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AUARA<\/a>, a mineral water brand that invests 100% of its profits in bringing potable water to those who do not have any. Finalist, Linares Abogados with their project, Scholarships for girls.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Corporate Volunteering:<\/strong> winner, Coca-Cola European Partners, with its project <em>GIRA J\u00f3venes<\/em> (TURN Youth), which aims to involve employees in its strategy for sustainability, making them participants in its commitment to youth at risk of social exclusion. Finalist, Telef\u00f3nica Foundation with <em>Socially Responsible International Vacations.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Journalism for development:<\/strong> Nicol\u00e1s Castellano, journalist for SER, was chosen as the winner for his report, <em>Ben\u00edn, child market<\/em>. Finalists, journalists Jairo Marcos and Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngeles Fern\u00e1ndez from esglobal, with the report, <em>The earth is not for women.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/15152357\/finalistas-premios-codespa-2019.jpg\" title=\"Codespa Awards 2019\" alt=\"Winners CODESPA Awards 2019\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>During the event, Mr. Manuel Herrando Prat de la Riba, President of the CODESPA Foundation, emphasized,<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                &quot;Bringing an end to poverty in all of its forms around the world is one of the challenges of the Objectives for Sustainable Development. To achieve this, economic growth must be inclusive, with the aim of creating sustainable jobs and promoting equality.
