The award dinner took place on <strong>10 November<\/strong> at the <a title=\"Atlanta Marriot Buckhead Hotel\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marriott.com\/hotels\/travel\/atlbc-atlanta-marriott-buckhead-hotel-and-conference-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Atlanta Marriot Buckhead Hotel <\/a>and Conference Center.<\/p>\n<p>Hispanic business owners and leaders in the construction industry received various awards for their impacts in education, safety and the community.\u00a0 FAUS Southeast received the <strong><em>General Contractor of the Year <\/em><\/strong>award for spearheading the I-285\/SR 400 Interchange Reconstruction Project in Atlanta, Georgia &#8211; a project designed to <strong>relieve traffic<\/strong> in the metro Atlanta region.<\/p>\n<p>Javier Pascual Martinez, Vice President of FAUS Southeast, accepted the <em>General Contractor of the Year<\/em>\u00a0 award on behalf of the company.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Through our partnership with GHCA we are able to bring more jobs to Hispanic men and women,&#8221; said Pascual Martinez. &#8221; Our partnership helped us meet and contract with qualified contractors to work on the I-285\/SR 400 Interchange Reconstruction Project. We will continue to strengthen our relationship with GHCA while we further establish Ferrovial Agroman in Georgia and throughout the Southeast United states.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>FAUS Southeast additionally received recognition for partnering with GHCA on <strong>job fairs<\/strong>, <strong>construction expositions<\/strong> and <strong>networking sessions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>FAUS Southeast has been a proud sponsor of GHCA for three years.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>About Georgia Hispanic Construction Association<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Georgia Hispanic Construction Association is a non-profit 501(c) 6 membership organization. GHCA strives to be the leading organization that<strong> empowers Hispanic achievement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>About I-285\/SR 400 Interchange Reconstruction Project <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The I-285\/SR 400 Reconstruction project in Atlanta will improve<strong> 4.3 miles<\/strong> of I-285 from west of Roswell Road to east of Ashford-Dunwoody Road and <strong>6.2 miles<\/strong> along SR 400 from the Glenridge Connector to Spalding Drive. The improvements include eastbound and westbound collector-distributer lanes on I-285 and northbound and southbound collector-distributer lanes on SR 400. The existing interchange at SR 400 and Abernathy Road will convert to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). Mount Vernon Highway bridge over SR 400 will be replaced. Improvements also include a connecting path through the interchange to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
