Ferrovial Services<\/a> has created a new mobile application called \u201c RetoRecicla<\/em><\/a>\u201d (in English, Recycling Challenge), the aim of which is to encourage and support recycling amongst residents of Murcia.<\/p>\n

This initiative, developed in collaboration with the Town Council<\/a>, brings together all the necessary information on waste collection in the municipality and care for the environment that residents need. The app has an interactive menu allowing users to learn, play, challenge, recycle and care for the environment<\/a>. The recycling converter informs users of energy saved, the number of trees not cut down, or the amount of water not wasted.<\/p>\n

The application also tells users where they can leave certain types of waste and where the nearest waste containers are using the phone\u2019s GPS. It also provides the address and opening hours of the municipality\u2019s waste collection points, and information on where to request collection of furniture and large articles.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
