{"id":7102,"date":"2018-01-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-01-11T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/ferrovial-receives-awards-from-enertic-for-its-commitment-to-innovation-for-energy-efficiency-in-infrastructures-and-roads\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T09:22:30","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T08:22:30","slug":"ferrovial-receives-awards-from-enertic-for-its-commitment-to-innovation-for-energy-efficiency-in-infrastructures-and-roads","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-receives-awards-from-enertic-for-its-commitment-to-innovation-for-energy-efficiency-in-infrastructures-and-roads\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial receives awards from enerTIC for its commitment to innovation for energy efficiency in infrastructures and roads"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Ferrovial Services\u2019 <a title=\"Ferrovial's Commitment to Innovation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/es\/nuestro-compromiso-ferrovial\/innovacion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">commitment to innovation<\/a> was recognised at the awards ceremony hosted by the <a title=\"enerTIC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.enertic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">enerTIC<\/a> corporate platform. <strong>HEFESTO<\/strong>, a software programme for <strong>improving energy efficiency<\/strong> within the contracts managed by the company, was awarded best initiative aimed at energy efficiency in the <em>Extended Digital Factory<\/em> category.<\/p>\n<p>The HEFESTO project has been driven by the <a title=\"About Ferrovial Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/ferrovial-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Ferrovial Services<\/a> division, with the participation of an extensive multidisciplinary team of professionals from both the services division and the rest of the corporation.<\/p>\n<p>It is a tool which allows <strong>real time monitoring of energy use<\/strong>, as well as monitoring of the condition of facilities, including buildings and street lighting. The programme focuses on the capture, storage and analysis of data from energy services contracts. The enabling of rapid access to data through a single platform enhances monitoring capacity and makes reporting easier for managers, confers greater independence from external providers, improves transfer of information, and optimises energy savings.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/vimeo.com\/247283688\/2783e71b71<\/p>\n<p>The application of digital technologies is one of the key factors in energy efficiency, as explained by David Pocero, Technical Office and Innovation manager, in his article <em><a title=\"How to change the world through energy - Ferrovial Blog\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.ferrovial.com\/es\/2017\/04\/sostenibilidad-energetica-cambiando-mundo-energia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">How to change the world through energy<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Energy efficiency in roads<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Regarding motorway concessions, the <strong>OPEN ITS<\/strong> solution developed by <a title=\"About Cintra\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/toll-roads\/about-cintra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Cintra<\/a> through <a title=\"AUSOL\" href=\"https:\/\/www.autopistadelsol.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">AUSOL<\/a>, the concessionary company for the M\u00e1laga-Estepona and Estepona-Guadiaro toll roads, received the award for <strong>best innovation project<\/strong> in the<em> Smart Product<\/em> category.<\/p>\n<p>The application, which is already up and running in a number of the motorway tunnels, has a modular architecture which allows <strong>lighting<\/strong> to be managed through a series of environmental sensors and other electronic systems fitted within the tunnels which help to <strong>maximise energy savings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This project has also been developed through the cooperation of several work teams including professional staff from Ausol, Cintra\u2019s technical and innovation departments, and ITS experts from Ferrovial.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The enerTIC platform<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a title=\"enerTIC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.enertic.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">EnerTIC<\/a> is a corporate platform which aims to achieve optimum energy efficiency through the use of <strong>ICTs<\/strong>, in both the private and the public sector. These awards are one of the initiatives for awareness-raising, promotion and dissemination to encourage the application of ICTs for improving energy efficiency for people, technological infrastructures, spaces and buildings.<\/p>\n<p>EnerTIC\u2019s Technical Committee, together with a group of experts from its member organisations and Institutional Cooperation Network, shortlisted the winners from the more than <strong>100 projects<\/strong> submitted in each category. The award ceremony was attended by over <strong>200 managers<\/strong> and public authorities, amongst them Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Lassalle Ruiz, Secretary of State for the Information and Digital Agenda Society, who opened the ceremony.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
