The Spanish company has been included in the new edition of RobecoSAM<\/a>\u2019s The Sustainability Yearbook 2018<\/a><\/em>, which rewards companies with an excellent performance in sustainability<\/strong>. Moreover, Ferrovial has received the<\/strong> Silver Class distinction<\/strong>, which is only awarded to between 1% and 5% of the companies in each sector, from a total of 478 companies in 43 countries.<\/p>\n

Aris Prepoudis, CEO, RobecoSAM, said:<\/p>\n

“I congratulate Ferrovial wholeheartedly for being awarded a Silver Class medal in The Sustainability Yearbook 2018. The companies included in the Yearbook are the world\u2019s most sustainable companies<\/strong> in their industry and are moving the ESG needle in ways that will help us realize the UN\u2019s Sustainable Development Goals<\/a> by 2030.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

RobecoSAM has been assessing the corporate sustainability of the world\u2019s largest listed companies annually since 1999. For this 2018 edition, 60 industries from 43 different countries were analysed<\/strong>, with scrutiny of close to 150,000 documents and a compilation of financial, environmental<\/a>, social<\/a> and governance<\/a> information. Despite fierce competition and strict evaluation criteria, the ranking includes 8 companies more than last year, clear evidence of company efforts and commitment to implementing practical improvements for sustainability.<\/p>\n

This Yearbook is used as a reference by investors<\/strong>, and as such affects companies\u2019 competitive standing and financial performance in the long term.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
