{"id":7201,"date":"2018-02-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-16T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/the-ci3-foundation-receives-a-grant-from-mineco-as-the-european-projects-office\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T09:20:49","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T08:20:49","slug":"the-ci3-foundation-receives-a-grant-from-mineco-as-the-european-projects-office","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/the-ci3-foundation-receives-a-grant-from-mineco-as-the-european-projects-office\/","title":{"rendered":"The CI3 Foundation receives a grant from MINECO as the &#8216;European Projects Office&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Last November, the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (<a title=\"Mineco\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mineco.gob.es\/portal\/site\/mineco\/?lang_choosen=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">MINECO<\/a>) granted the <a title=\"CI3 - Foundation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ci3.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Center for Innovation of Intelligent Infrastructures<\/a> (CI3) a grant within the state program &#8216;<strong>European Networks and Managers Technology Centers 2017<\/strong>&#8216; to strengthen its structure as European Projects Office. This financial aid is intended to provide public and private research bodies with the structure and knowledge necessary for <strong>the proper preparation and management of European projects<\/strong>, so that both research organizations and Spanish companies improve their chances of obtaining community financing of the <a title=\"Horizon 2020\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/horizon2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Horizon 2020<\/a> program (H2020) during the final term of the same.<\/p>\n<p>Since its creation, <strong>the CI3 Foundation has been very active with Ferrovial<\/strong> in the preparation of proposals and the subsequent participation in subsidized projects, participating throughout its history in different projects co-financed by Spanish and European programs such as: Interconnecta, <a title=\"Mire 3D\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/projects\/mire-3d-3d-modelling-of-urban-energy-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Mire-3d<\/a>, City-2020, Fotsis, <a title=\"Teds4Bee - Ferrovial Blog\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.ferrovial.com\/en\/2015\/07\/results-of-teds4bee-project-how-to-achieve-energy-savings-and-sustainability-in-buildings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Teds4bee<\/a>, Outsmart, Prende, Dinatrans, Look 3d, Smartimpact, Dry4gas, TT (Transforming Transport), IoRL (Internet of Radio Light). These last two projects already belong to the H2020 Program.<\/p>\n<p>Obtaining the present aid constitutes a boost to the activity of the CI3, which will allow it to achieve the following objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthen the structure of the CI3 Foundation, consolidating its capacity and increasing the training of its resources for the adequate preparation and management of European projects.<\/li>\n<li>Allow greater presence and leadership of the CI3 Foundation in the H2020 projects.<\/li>\n<li>Support access to H2020 of companies and entities without previous experience.<\/li>\n<li>Increase the number and importance of the companies that rely on the CI3 Foundation to manage and develop their Projects co-financed by the European Commission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to this impulse, <strong>the CI3 Foundation will have a virtual 3D space to showcase their projects and capabilities<\/strong>, conduct networking to hold virtual meetings and provide specialized training courses in the H2020 Program to companies and entities that require it.<\/p>\n<h2>About CI3<\/h2>\n<p>CI3 is a non-profit foundation, established in April 2010 with headquarters in Guadalajara, at the initiative of its Trustees, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (JCCM), the University of Alcal\u00e1 (UAH) and Ferrovial. <strong>The purpose of the CI3 foundation is to contribute to the promotion and development of information technologies applied to infrastructures<\/strong> and to carry out <a title=\"Our commitment to innovation - Ferrovial\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/our-commitment\/innovation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">innovation<\/a> projects in this field.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
