Easternwell<\/a>, the Australian subsidiary of Broadspectrum<\/a>, has received the silver award from the Queensland State Government\u2019s Healthier. Happier<\/em><\/a>\u00a0scheme. The company\u2019s \u2018Live Well\u2019 programme has been recognised for its positive impact on health and well-being in the workplace<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The programme is designed to support and incentivise staff to choose healthy lifestyles<\/strong>, such as a balanced diet, increased physical activity, not smoking, reducing alcohol consumption and maintaining good mental health. \u2018Live Well\u2019 is managed by a qualified dietitian and internal well-being coordinator responsible for implementing effective health and well-being plans for staff.<\/p>\n

One of the programme\u2019s initiatives is a 24-hour helpdesk to provide support to staff and families<\/strong> with personal or work-related problems affecting their quality of life, wellbeing or safety. Another initiative is a 12-week plan to stop smoking.<\/p>\n

In addition to these two examples, the programme includes access to nearby gyms, availability of fresh fruit in the office, access to medical and skin checks, a newsletter with information on healthy lifestyle habits and trends, and access to the wellness corner in Easternwell\u2019s offices in Toowoomba. Through the \u2018Live Well\u2019 programme, Easternwell aims to improve the health and wellbeing of its employees.<\/p>\n

A commitment to promoting healthy habits amongst staff<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ferrovial Services<\/a> is committed to promoting the health and well-being of its staff. A further example within the company is Hasavi, developed by Ferrovial Services Spain through the Inacua<\/a> brand. This programme aims to promote healthy habits amongst employees through a three-pronged approach: nutrition, physical activity, and health and the individual<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition to Hasavi, Ferrovial has other fully consolidated initiatives which it has implemented over time, such as the Ferrovial Olympics<\/a> \u2013 with an average of 1,200 participants per edition after 13 years of existence \u2013, or the Healthy Habits and Mindfulness workshops implemented since 2011 and 2016, respectively, and imparted by the Ferrovial Summa University<\/a>, with the participation of over 500 employees.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
