{"id":7330,"date":"2018-04-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-04-27T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/ferrovial-participates-with-ci3-in-the-conference-on-h2020-calls-opportunities-for-enterprises\/"},"modified":"2024-12-12T22:18:50","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T21:18:50","slug":"ferrovial-participates-with-ci3-in-the-conference-on-h2020-calls-opportunities-for-enterprises","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-participates-with-ci3-in-the-conference-on-h2020-calls-opportunities-for-enterprises\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial participates with CI3 in the conference on \u201cH2020 Calls: Opportunities for enterprises\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The<a title=\"CI3 Foundation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ci3.es\/en\/index.asp?MP=28&amp;MS=0&amp;MN=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\"> CI3 Foundation<\/a>\u00a0and the <a title=\"Guadalajara Town Council\" href=\"https:\/\/www.guadalajara.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Town Council of\u00a0Guadalajara<\/a>\u00a0(Spain) recently held\u00a0a conference on <strong><em>H2020\u00a0Calls: Opportunities\u00a0for enterprises<\/em><\/strong> in Guadalajara.<\/p>\n<p>The event was<b>\u00a0<\/b>organised by <b>CI3 <\/b>and the<b> Guadalajara Town Council, <\/b>with support from Ferrovial, the BIC\/CEEI Guadalajara, the CDTI and the\u00a0Smart Energy\u00a0Campus of Excellence\u00a0of\u00a0the Alcal\u00e1 and Rey Juan Carlos universities,<b>\u00a0<\/b>with the aim of providing\u00a0companies\u00a0with information on the\u00a0opportunities provided by the European Commission within the framework of the <a title=\"Horizon 2020 Programme\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/horizon2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Horizon 2020 programme<\/a>, through cooperation with the CDTI and other funding entities such as the CI3 Foundation,\u00a0to\u00a0secure\u00a0<strong>funding for R&amp;D projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Present at the event were<b>\u00a0Francisco \u00dabeda<\/b>,\u00a0councillor for the environment at the Guadalajara\u00a0Town Council, who opened the event;\u00a0<b>Rafael Fando<\/b>,\u00a0general manager of\u00a0CI3\u00a0who introduced the foundation;<b>\u00a0Javier Garcia Serrano<\/b>,\u00a0head of the industrial leadership department at the\u00a0CDTI,\u00a0who explained the institutional support provided by the\u00a0CDTI to companies and entities participating in European projects; and\u00a0<b>Pablo Hyam<\/b>,\u00a0technical manager at\u00a0CI3,\u00a0who explained the opportunities provided by the H2020 programme\u00a0to\u00a0companies\u00a0looking to access funding.<\/p>\n<p>Pablo Fernandez<b>\u00a0<\/b>(CI3)\u00a0talked\u00a0then\u00a0of\u00a0the participation of <a title=\"About Construction - Ferrovial\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Ferrovial Agroman<\/a> and CI3 Foundation in the IoRL (Internet of Radio Light) H2020 project;\u00a0whilst\u00a0Iker Guinea<b>\u00a0<\/b>(CI3)\u00a0and<b>\u00a0<\/b>Leire Merle<b>\u00a0<\/b>(Indra)\u00a0explained the H2020\u00a0&#8220;Transforming Transport&#8221;\u00a0project led by\u00a0Indra\u00a0and implemented together with\u00a0<a title=\"About Toll Roads - Ferrovial\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/toll-roads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Cintra<\/a>, Ferrovial Agroman\u00a0and\u00a0CI3.<\/p>\n<p>The event ended with a speech by\u00a0<b>M\u00aa del Mar G\u00f3mez Zamora<\/b>,\u00a0from the\u00a0Rey Juan Carlos\u00a0University,\u00a0consultant at\u00a0H2020-EIC-FTI-2018-2020\u00a0and technical manager for the Smart Energy\u00a0International\u00a0Campus of Excellence.<\/p>\n<h2><b>About the Centre for Innovation on Smart Infrastructures<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The Centre for Innovation on Smart Infrastructures\u00a0(CI3)\u00a0is a\u00a0<strong>general interest,\u00a0not-for-profit foundation<\/strong>\u00a0the aim of which is to contribute to the development and promotion of information and communication technologies\u00a0and their application to infrastructures. The Centre has three founding trustees: Ferrovial, the Castilla-La Mancha Regional Community (JCCM) and the University of Alcal\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>Since its creation, the\u00a0CI3\u00a0Foundation\u00a0has been actively involved, together with Ferrovial,\u00a0in the preparation of proposals for, and subsequent participation in, projects with joint funding from Spanish and European programmes, such as, for example: CIUDAD-2020, FOTSIS, TEDS4BEE,\u00a0OUTSMART, PRENDE, DINATRANS, MIRE 3D, SMARTIMPACT, DRY4GAS, SMARTCONSTRUCTION, ZEN ROBOTICS, TT (Transforming Transport), IoRL (Internet of Radio Light).\u00a0The TT and IoRL projects are part of the\u00a0H2020\u00a0programme.<\/p>\n<h2><b>About Horizon 2020<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Horizon 2020 is a programme funding <strong>research and innovation<\/strong> projects in several areas within the European context, with a budget of close to <strong>80 billion Euros<\/strong> for the period 2014 to 2020. The programme is open to all, including researchers, companies, technological centres and public bodies.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
