This recognition, awarded by the British Safety Council, puts the company in the top 2.5% of applicants and sets it apart from the competition.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

In a recognition that goes to all Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman<\/a>\u00a0projects in the UK, the British Safety Council<\/a> has awarded the company an International Safety Award<\/strong> with distinction. This shows the importance Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman\u00a0places on Health, Safety & Wellbeing<\/strong> on a daily basis and that they set themselves apart from the competition.<\/p>\n

The total number of applications was 558<\/strong>, of which only 15 were awarded distinctions<\/strong> (Ferrovial Agroman scored 59 out of 60<\/strong>). This puts them in the top 2.5% of applicants<\/strong>. The International Safety Awards Gala Dinner will be held on Friday 27 April at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, in a black-tie event that comes as one of the most prestigious dates in the Health & Safety calendar.<\/p>\n

Current Projects Across the UK<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In partnership with other construction companies, Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman\u00a0UK & Ireland is currently delivering several projects in the UK: the Northern Line Extension<\/a>, which is extending the tube’s Northern line<\/strong> from\u00a0Kennington\u00a0to Battersea in South West London terminating at the redeveloped Battersea Power Station; the central section of the Thames Tideway Tunnel<\/a>, a major new sewer that will help tackle the problem of overflows<\/strong> from London’s Victorian sewers and will protect the river from increasing pollution for at least the next 100 years; Farringdon station<\/a>, which is part of the London Underground<\/strong> and includes the construction of the station’s building, accesses and caverns; the ongoing construction and development projects at Heathrow<\/a>, Europe’s busiest airport<\/strong>; and the enabling works on the central section of the high speed railway which will join London and Birmingham (HS2).<\/p>\n
