Broadspectrum<\/a>,\u00a0subsidiary of\u00a0Ferrovial Services<\/a>\u00a0in Australia and New Zealand,\u00a0will start providing maintenance services in all public facilities managed by the New Zealand Government<\/strong>. The company will become part of a panel of\u00a0service\u00a0providers managed by the\u00a0Government Property Group (GPG),\u00a0which reports\u00a0to the Executive.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0panel\u00a0of service providers\u00a0will be responsible for maintenance and asset management\u00a0of all\u00a0Crown Estate Office\u00a0public facilities\u00a0\u2013 a\u00a0total of\u00a0more than\u00a01.5 million m2<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0over the next four years, with an option\u00a0to\u00a0extend the contract for a further two.<\/p>\n

With this new contract, Broadspectrum\u00a0further\u00a0strengthens\u00a0its relations with the New Zealand\u00a0Government,\u00a0which is\u00a0a strategic client for the company. It will also\u00a0allow\u00a0a deeper\u00a0understanding of\u00a0the individual needs\u00a0of\u00a0the various government agencies\u00a0and their assets.\u00a0This\u00a0is the first time the New Zealand\u00a0Government outsources maintenance services\u00a0for\u00a0its agencies.<\/p>\n

Broadspectrum\u00a0<\/b>and the Australian G<\/b>overnment<\/b><\/h2>\n

This contract with the New Zealand Government\u00a0adds\u00a0to\u00a0the one\u00a0recently\u00a0signed\u00a0with the Australian\u00a0Government for maintenance\u00a0services\u00a0in 37 public buildings over four years<\/a>. A key\u00a0aspect\u00a0of the\u00a0agreement was the inclusion\u00a0of a clause whereby the\u00a0employment\u00a0rate\u00a0within the company\u00a0for Aboriginal people would be\u00a06.5% for 2018, in order\u00a0to comply with\u00a0and support the Australian\u00a0Government\u2019s\u00a0insertion targets.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
