The services listed in the\u00a0agreement\u00a0include manual and mechanical sweeping, the cleaning and unblocking of sewers,\u00a0grass cutting,\u00a0herbicide application and the\u00a0cleaning and\u00a0emptying\u00a0of\u00a0rubbish\u00a0bins.<\/p>\n<p>The contract will provide direct employment for seven Ferrovial employees, who will oversee the cleaning of more than 100 km of thoroughfare.<\/p>\n<p>Ermesinde is a parish in the municipality of Valongo, in the north of Portugal. Over the past 10 years it has experienced significant population growth, to the point where it is now the most populated parish in the municipality, with roughly<strong> 39,000 inhabitants<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This growth, coupled with\u00a0the construction of new, modernised\u00a0infrastructures, has contributed to an improvement in the quality of life in the town. With this contract, Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os\u00a0affirms its commitment to working towards a cleaner town while meeting all the conditions required by the customer.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Recent contracts for<\/b><b>\u00a0Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os was recently awarded the tender for street cleaning and solid waste collection in\u00a0the municipality of\u00a0Tarouca, in Portugal. The\u00a0concession\u00a0is for three years and\u00a0covers\u00a0the collection of solid urban waste in the town of Tarouca and\u00a0its surrounding\u00a0parishes, the cleaning of\u00a0containers\u00a0and rubbish bins,\u00a0manual and mechanical street scanning, verge and ditch cleaning and chemical weeding.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this\u00a0agreement,\u00a0Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os\u00a0has\u00a0also\u00a0been\u00a0awarded the public tender for the provision of cleaning, sanitisation and waste management services in the\u00a0<a title=\"Ferrovial Servi\u00e7os\u00a0Docapesca\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-servicos-wins-the-contract-for-cleaning-and-waste-management-services-in-the-fishing-port-of-matosinhos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">fishing port of\u00a0Matosinhos\u00a0\u2013 Docapesca<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0next\u00a0three years.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
