Road safety was top of the agenda as over 500 schoolchildren<\/strong> from six schools in northern Portugal took part in an educational session focused on the importance of road safety<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The session, organized by the Municipality of Viana do Castelo and the Norte Litoral Highway<\/a>, which is managed by Cintra<\/a>, gave the children an opportunity to learn about important road safety practices. The schoolchildren were also shown the benefits of driving on safe infrastructure, such as the Norte Litoral Highway itself.<\/p>\n

Speaking of the event, Norte Litoral\u2019s head of maintenance Joao Delgado commented that:<\/p>\n

“Education is the key to changing behaviour<\/strong>. Through the questions that kids ask, you discover to your surprise that we ourselves are often the ones who are guilty of poor driving practices.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Delgado and his team taught the sessions which were coordinated with the Viana do Castelo Education Department. After the successful event, the company aims to continue working with the authorities in the coming years.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
