{"id":7451,"date":"2018-06-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-06-25T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/news\/budimex-will-construct-the-new-polish-history-museum\/"},"modified":"2024-11-04T18:42:01","modified_gmt":"2024-11-04T17:42:01","slug":"budimex-will-construct-the-new-polish-history-museum","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/budimex-will-construct-the-new-polish-history-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"Budimex will construct the new Polish History Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>On 30 May,\u00a0Budimex\u00a0concluded the contract with the <a title=\"Polish History Museum\" href=\"http:\/\/muzhp.pl\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Polish History Museum<\/a> of the construction of its new building that will be erected at the Warsaw Citadel.\u00a0At the signing of the contract, Polish <a title=\"About Construction - Ferrovial\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">construction<\/a> subsidiary\u00a0<a title=\"Budimex\" href=\"http:\/\/www.budimex.pl\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">Budimex<\/a> was represented by its President,\u00a0Dariusz\u00a0Blocher.<\/p>\n<p>The scope of works comprises construction of the building, including the required systems, permitting to arrange the permanent exhibition that presents the history of Poland. Apart from the exhibition area, six\u00a0storeys\u00a0of the building (4 over ground and 2\u00a0underground) will house conservatory facilities, laboratories, museum storage, and an educational\u00a0centre, as well as offices and social rooms for the employees. The museum will also have a cinema room, library, restaurant and caf\u00e9. The monolithic reinforced concrete structure of the building will be decorated with a stone fa\u00e7ade and a glazed main entrance.<\/p>\n<p>As Piotr\u00a0Gli\u0144ski, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, emphasized:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The museum is\u00a0one of the largest Polish investment related to culture, possibly of all time, likely comparable to the Great Theatre &#8211; National Opera&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The works will be completed in <strong>February 2021<\/strong>.\u00a0The seat of the Polish History Museum was designed by Warsaw-based <a title=\"WXCA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wxca.pl\/category\/english\/news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"dofollow noopener\">WXCA Sp. z\u00a0o.o<\/a>. office. The building of the Polish Army Museum will also be constructed at the Citadel.<\/p>\n<h3><b>The Polish History Museum in figures:\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Permanent exhibition area: 7 thousand sq. m<\/li>\n<li>Temporary exhibition area: 1.5 thousand sq. m<\/li>\n<li>Auditorium: for approx. 600 spectators<\/li>\n<li>Cinema room: for approx. 150 spectators<\/li>\n<li>Total area of the building:
