Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT<\/a>), the project\u2019s owner, awarded the design-build contract for two segments of SH 99 Grand Parkway to Grand Parkway Infrastructure (GPI) \u2013 a joint venture between Ferrovial\u00a0Agroman<\/a>, Webber LLC<\/a> and Granite Construction Inc<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The segments scheduled for construction will begin north of Houston, TX in New Caney, TX and continue south for more than 52 miles<\/strong> to Baytown, TX; spanning four counties \u2013 Chambers, Harris, Liberty and Montgomery.<\/p>\n

Segments H and I-1 will be approximately 37.5 miles of a two-lane toll facility with intermittent four-lane sections for passing.\u202f Segment I-2 is made up of Segments I-2A and I-2B.\u202f Segment I-2A consists of tolling equipment, upgrades and other improvements for approximately 8.7 miles of an existing four-lane facility from FM 1405 to Interstate 10.\u202f Segment I-2B is approximately 6.1\u00a0miles of a new four-lane toll facility from SH 146 in Baytown to FM 1405.<\/p>\n

With an expected completion date of spring 2022<\/strong>, SH 99 Grand Parkway Segments H, I-1 & I-2 will improve mobility, safety and reliability, and support business growth.<\/p>\n
