{"id":76236,"date":"2019-02-15T10:32:30","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T09:32:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=76236"},"modified":"2022-12-21T09:07:48","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T08:07:48","slug":"ferrovial-services-and-gamechangers-present-10-startups","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-services-and-gamechangers-present-10-startups\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial Services and Gamechangers &#038; Cities present the 10 startups that will participate in the program"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The projects selected fall under the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">United Nations<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sdgfund.org\/goal-11-sustainable-cities-and-communities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sustainable Development Goal 11<\/a>, &#8216;Sustainable Cities and Communities,&#8217; so the goal of these startups is to offer solutions with <strong>the aim of converting the cities of the future into safer, more affordable places<\/strong>, investing in <strong>public transit<\/strong> and <strong>green public spaces<\/strong>, and improving <strong>urban<\/strong> <strong>planning and management so that they are more participatory and inclusive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The selection process for the winning startups consisted of 3 stages in which a jury of professionals from organizations like Ferrovial Services, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madrid.es\/portal\/site\/munimadrid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Madrid&#8217;s City Council<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bolsasocial.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">La Bolsa Social<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edmondderothschildfoundations.org\/default-en.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Edmond de Rothschild Foundations<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ecodes.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ECODES<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankofamerica.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bank of America<\/a>, and the Camilo Jos\u00e9 Cela University selected <strong>the 10 winning startups from more than 100 candidates<\/strong>. When making their evaluations, the jury considered criteria such as<strong> the project&#8217;s innovation and social impact<\/strong>, <strong>economic sustainability<\/strong>, and <strong>its potential to carry out the startup on a larger scale<\/strong>; the leadership and entrepreneurial skills of the team; and the program&#8217;s potential for bringing value to the startup.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The 10 winning startups<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/aiudo.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aiudo<\/a>, which looks for the most suitable caregivers for the elderly, creating a more personalized caregiving experience.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/blindexplorer.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blind Explorer<\/a> is an app that uses 3D sound and the latest satellite navigation technology to guide individuals with visual disabilities through open spaces.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/depisoenpiso.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">De Piso en Piso<\/a>, an online platform that lets the user rent rooms in shared apartments at a lower price in exchange for services, like keeping the elderly company, giving private classes, etc.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.feltwood.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Feltwood<\/a>, a startup that reuses agricultural vegetable waste to manufacture an industrial material that is eco-friendly and multipurpose with properties similar to those of plastic and wood.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenurbandata.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Green Urban Data<\/a> is software that monitors and analyzes ambient conditions to offer recommendations to stabilize the temperature of the surrounding area.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/nicetoeatyou.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nice to eat you<\/a>, a digital platform where deals are published on food that business haven\u2019t been able to sell, reducing food waste and saving you money.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mensos.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mensos<\/a> is a sustainable delivery service that delivers merchandise by bicycle, contributing to improving traffic conditions and caring for the environment.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.recircular.net\/en\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ricircular<\/a>, a platform that connects businesses to reuse and create value from waste such as primary materials, giving waste a new life, reducing costs, and creating a positive impact.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.recircup.com\/en\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recircup<\/a> is a collaborative platform that incentivizes citizens in making decisions, inviting them to recycle in groups and to set goals, transforming recycling into a game.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/souji.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Souji<\/a>, a solution that converts used cooking oil into soap or multipurpose detergent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As part of the \u201cGamechangers &amp; Cities\u201d program, <strong>each of the startups will receive mentoring from professionals at Ferrovial Services<\/strong>, as well as<strong> advice from Edmond de Rothschild, <\/strong>along with other advantages to promote and develop their projects in the arenas of social and environmental impact.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
