{"id":79140,"date":"2019-02-18T11:02:25","date_gmt":"2019-02-18T10:02:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=79140"},"modified":"2022-12-21T09:07:46","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T08:07:46","slug":"cadagua-strengthens-its-position-in-the-brewing-industry","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/cadagua-strengthens-its-position-in-the-brewing-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"Cadagua strengthens its position in the brewing industry"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>One of the outstanding successes is the implementation of <strong>17 anaerobic reactors<\/strong> to which 3 new <a href=\"https:\/\/en.paques.nl\/products\/featured\/biopaq\/biopaqic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BIOPAQ IC reactors<\/a> will be added, as agreed to in 2017 and 2018. This is an anaerobic treatment system (that is, one without air) with effluents of industrial waste water that allows waste water dumping limits to be met and biogas to be produced at the same time.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Agreements reached<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In the spring of 2017, Cadagua earned the contract for designing, building, and starting up the filter system for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccc.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CCC<\/a> in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which is currently nearing launch.<\/p>\n<p>More recently, <strong>two contracts were signed in the summer of 2018 to expand the plants <\/strong>that were originally built in 2011 for the company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fontsalem.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Font Salem Santar\u00e9m<\/a> in Portugal and in 2002 for <a href=\"https:\/\/estrellagalicia.es\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Estrella Galicia<\/a>. The two expansions will include the installation of BIOPAQ IC anaerobic reactors, and in the case of Font Salem, <strong>biological treatment<\/strong> will be implemented with nitrogen elimination so that it meets regulations on dumping in public waterways. Estrella Galicia&#8217;s BIOPAQ IC reactor deserves special recognition, as it has been in operation without stopping for 17 years since its initial start-up.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
