The 25.7-kilometre stretch is part of the <strong>Mediterrean Corridor<\/strong> (Murcia-Almer\u00eda section).<\/p>\n<p>It will be a single-tracked line with a railbed 8.5 meters wide, and will run to the Vera-Almanzora passenger station (22 km). The remaining 3.7 kilometers from the station will be double-tracked with a 14-meter railbed.<\/p>\n<p>The project also involves building 10 viaducts, the longest measuring 744 meters, as well as a pedestrian overpass and a number of under- and overpasses to pass roads and railway lines along the route. The consortium must complete the work in 30 months.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ferrovial Agroman<\/strong><\/a> has played a key role in the development of Spain&#8217;s high-speed railway network, having build over 470 kilometers of line and is still working on some of the main corridors. The railway projects it is currently working on include the Padornelo tunnel, upgrading the tracks and platforms at Ourense station, and track installation on the Olmedo-Pedralba and Pedralba-Campobecerros sections of track, all on the Madrid-Galicia high-speed railway line; accesses to La Sagrera station in Barcelona, and a number of infrastructure maintenance contracts.<\/p>\n
