{"id":87651,"date":"2019-05-09T09:34:30","date_gmt":"2019-05-09T07:34:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=87651"},"modified":"2022-12-20T12:26:56","modified_gmt":"2022-12-20T11:26:56","slug":"adds-vehicles-waste-collection","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/adds-vehicles-waste-collection\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial Services adds ten new vehicles to improve waste collection for the eight municipalities in the As Mari\u00f1as Consortium"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The new vehicles, which were chosen according to criteria on sustainability, efficiency, and technical quality, are part of the plan to renovate and update the service, as reflected in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/ferrovial-services\/infrastructure-services\/environmental-services\/waste-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrovial Services<\/a>\u2019 contract to provide services as a supermunicipal entity.<\/p>\n<p>The new fleet of ten vehicles, which has incorporated the most cutting-edge technology on the European market, is committed to improving security, efficiency, and sustainability in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/ferrovial-services\/infrastructure-services\/environmental-services\/waste-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waste collection services<\/a> across the eight cities that make up the As Mari\u00f1as Consortium.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/15145146\/los-representantes-del-consorcio-y-de-ferrovial-servicios-durante-el-acto.jpg\" title=\"Representatives of Ferrovial Services and As Mari\u00f1as Consortium\" alt=\"Representatives of Ferrovial Services and As Mari\u00f1as Consortium\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Among the new vehicles are two side-loading trucks with 26 cubic meters of space, a system that is expanding this service to municipalities neighboring A Coru\u00f1a and which enables safer, more effective operations; as well as three back-loading trucks with two compartments for pickup in rural areas.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, two satellite vehicles with two compartments have been added to the service for collection in areas that are hard to get to. At many of the collection points across the eight municipalities, it is difficult for larger vehicles to reach them, thus the addition of these two new satellite vehicles.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/15145144\/consorcio-11.jpg\" title=\"The new vehicles were chosen according to criteria on sustainability, efficiency, and technical quality\" alt=\"The new vehicles were chosen according to criteria on sustainability, efficiency, and technical quality\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>A vehicle with a 12-ton open cargo bed and towing equipment has also been added to the new fleet for ancillary services, along with a side-loading truck equipped to wash bins and another back-loading truck also equipped to wash bins. The vehicles, which have automatic transmission and the latest safety systems, have been added to the routes for the eight municipalities in the As Mari\u00f1as Consortium.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
