After changes, the institution will be provided with additional exhibition area, as well as a cafeteria, a museum shop, and educational and conference rooms. Thanks to the modernisation, it will become a modern cultural institution.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More space for engineering relics<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Museum buildings complex is situated in a former tram and bus depot. It was built in the years 1882 \u2013 1938, and was reconstructed multiple times. Over the years, the functions of the complex changed several times \u2013 the buildings were used as e.g. stables and a horsecar station, and then as bus depots and workshops. The Museum of Municipal Engineering has been operating here since 1998. Growing resources of the institution prompted its management to expand the complex.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/15145121\/54435499_3075098999182195_5434718532501766144_n.jpg\" title=\"Reconstruction of Museum of Municipal Engineering in Krak\u00f3w\" alt=\"Reconstruction of Museum of Municipal Engineering in Krak\u00f3w\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <h2><strong>Underground expansion<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The reconstruction of the institution was complicated by the fact that the museum is located on the land listed in the world heritage list of UNESCO. Therefore, the only possibility was to expand the underground part.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"block-quote \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10 block-quote__body\">\n            <blockquote class=\"block-quote__text\" aria-label=\"\">\n                The museum in Krak\u00f3w will be provided with e.g. basements of halls D, E and H. While in hall L, we will build a new underground building. The route through remaining rooms will be intuitive, and the tour will end in the place where it started.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
