Ferrovial Servic<\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span>s, a concessionaire\u00a0<\/span><\/span>for\u00a0<\/span><\/span>cleaning service<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in th<\/span><\/span>e<\/span><\/span>\u00a0town, is working side by side with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>City Council to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>restore\u00a0<\/span><\/span>normal\u00a0<\/span><\/span>conditions to the area\u00a0<\/span><\/span>as soon as possible\u00a0<\/span><\/span>after serious damage caused by torrential rains\u00a0<\/span><\/span>of unprecedented scale\u00a0<\/span><\/span>that\u00a0<\/span><\/span>led to\u00a0<\/span><\/span>sudden flooding of the Cidacos River<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>rising from\u00a0<\/span><\/span>11 centimeters to 4.23 meters in just four hours<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>this Monday<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

Faced with the aftermath of the torrential current from the Cidacos<\/span>\u00a0river<\/span>, Ferrovial Services\u00a0<\/span>assisted<\/span>\u00a0the City Council and all of\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>neighbors<\/span>\u00a0by<\/span>\u00a0clean<\/span>ing\u00a0<\/span>up mud and rubble from the streets of\u00a0<\/span>Tafalla<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>while also w<\/span>orking with firefighters, city and regional police, and the Civil Guard.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The scale of the situation has led the Tafalla City Council plenary to\u00a0<\/span>call\u00a0<\/span>an\u00a0<\/span>emergency meeting\u00a0<\/span>to\u00a0<\/span>petition\u00a0<\/span>the Government to declare a\u00a0<\/span>state of emergency<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>T<\/span>he highest\u00a0<\/span>amounts of\u00a0<\/span>rainfall,\u00a0<\/span>over\u00a0<\/span>150 liters per square meter at some points between five and nine o’clock\u00a0<\/span>at\u00a0<\/span>night<\/span>, were concentrated in the town<\/span>. It<\/span>\u00a0i<\/span>s the strongest<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0most intense storm\u00a0<\/span>of\u00a0<\/span>the last 40 years. In four hours<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0it rained three times\u00a0<\/span>the average rainfall<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for\u00a0<\/span>the month of July.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

The\u00a0<\/span><\/span>most significant\u00a0<\/span><\/span>damage\u00a0<\/span><\/span>occurred\u00a0<\/span><\/span>in the northern part of the town, where shops, buildings<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>pre-<\/span><\/span>school\u00a0<\/span><\/span>were\u00a0<\/span><\/span>severe<\/span><\/span>ly<\/span><\/span>\u00a0damage<\/span><\/span>d<\/span><\/span>. The flood\u00a0<\/span><\/span>especially\u00a0<\/span><\/span>affected\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Calle\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Espronceda, where the current\u00a0<\/span><\/span>carried away\u00a0<\/span><\/span>cars and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>seeped into\u00a0<\/span><\/span>garages,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>doorways,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and businesses.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

Ferrovial Services is hoping to restore normal conditions\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0<\/span>the streets of\u00a0Tafalla\u00a0as soon as possible, and to do so, it has put all the human and material
