The new contract will start in 2019, has an annual cost of \u20ac1,098,000, and can be extended for two additional years.<\/p>\n<p>Among the service&#8217;s primary innovations are <strong>cleaning services for the entire municipality from Monday to Saturday<\/strong>, while the most highly trafficked areas in the town will be serviced on Sundays. School courtyards will also be cleaned 7 days a week.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial Services will perform<strong> special cleanings, <\/strong>as part of the contract, for holidays, fairs, and\u00a0general public\u00a0events; act in cases of emergency for snowfall or heavy frost; remove graffiti and gum from public areas; and take down advertisements posted on street lamps and street furniture.<\/p>\n<p>Another great improvement is the <strong>renovation of all the equipment that the service offers<\/strong>. As such, contract operators will soon begin using a new sweeper for sidewalks and roads; multifunction equipment; a brigade vehicle with an open chassis, a platform, and a\u00a0hydrocleaner; an 8 m3 truck tank with a high-pressure pump; an inspection vehicle; six hub carriers for manual sweeping; and an electric blower.<\/p>\n<p>With this contract, Ferrovial Services continues to be<strong> a leader in roadway cleaning,<\/strong> as it currently holds contracts for this type of service with more than a dozen municipalities in the Basque Country, including\u00a0Getxo,\u00a0Basauri,\u00a0Santurtzi, Durango,\u00a0Arrasate-Mondragon, and\u00a0Amurrio.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
