{"id":89197,"date":"2019-07-22T09:57:01","date_gmt":"2019-07-22T07:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=89197"},"modified":"2022-12-21T08:59:23","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T07:59:23","slug":"ferrovial-agroman-builds-future-headquarter-metro-madrid","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-agroman-builds-future-headquarter-metro-madrid\/","title":{"rendered":"In 2020, Metro de Madrid Will Have a New Headquarters Built By Ferrovial Agroman"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>On July 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, the construction site was visited by the acting President of the Community of Madrid, Pedro Roll\u00e1n, and Minister of Transport, Housing, and Infrastructures, Rosal\u00eda Gonzalo, who were accompanied by the Under-Secretary of Transport, Housing, and Infrastructures, Antonio L\u00f3pez; Presiding Councilwoman for the District of Tetu\u00e1n, Blanca Pinedo; Manager of Railway Operations for Metro de Madrid, Carlos Cuadrado; and leaders from Metro de Madrid, as well as the chief representatives from the managing firm (Domogestora) and the Project Management Team.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of Ferrovial Agroman, the people who visited the site were Ignacio Clop\u00e9s, Director of Iberia, Latam and Other Markets; Juan Luis Junguito, Building Manager in Madrid and Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, and Data Processing Centers; Javier Garc\u00eda, Deputy Director for Building II in Madrid and Extremadura; Ra\u00fal Osma, Project Manager; and Rafael G\u00e1lvez, Site Manager, among others.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/15144901\/68t_3-7-19-6222-1-e1563781731817.jpg\" title=\"68T_3-7-19-6222\" alt=\"\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Ferrovial Agroman is building the CIT for the <em>Sociedad Cooperativa Residencial And\u00e9n del Retiro<\/em> in the Tetu\u00e1n neighborhood. The building will <strong>house more than 1,000 workers<\/strong> and will include two underground floors, each with a floor area of 4,150 m2, as well as eleven floors above ground, each with a total floor area of 19,800 m2.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of sustainability, the new headquarters was conceived as a<strong> Nearly Zero-Energy Building<\/strong> (NZEB), thereby <strong>complying with European guidelines<\/strong> that require energy considerations in public buildings built after 2018. To this end, the building incorporates design strategies and material options that <strong>reduce the heat island effect <\/strong>(particularly on the roofs by using shade and vegetation), along with <strong>lowering the energetic and ecological footprint<\/strong> by reducing the demand for energy and use of natural resources. In addition, it will have high-efficiency facilities, such as<strong> geothermics<\/strong>, and a parking lot that will have recharging stations for electric vehicles and bicycle racks.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"image-section \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n        <figure class=\"image-section__figure\">\n            <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/15144900\/68t_3-7-19-6368-1-e1563781742425.jpg\" title=\"68T_3-7-19-6368\" alt=\"\" class=\"image-section__image\">\n                    <\/figure>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The complex where the CIT is in development, which has over <strong>23,000 m2 of floor area<\/strong>, will relocate and concentrate primary administrative services and monitoring control centers for the company. These include the <em>Centro de Control de Operaci\u00f3n de Red<\/em> (CCOR), the <em>Centro de Operaciones de Mantenimiento y Monitorizaci\u00f3n de Instalaciones y Comunicaciones<\/em>, and the building for the <em>Consorcio Regional de Transportes <\/em>in the Community of Madrid. It will also include the addition of spaces for a <strong>Transportation Museum<\/strong>, <strong>parking with over 300 spaces<\/strong>, a large garden, and open-air areas in central locations that will be built in the future.<\/p>\n<p>This concentrated grouping of services will make it possible to <strong>lower production and operation costs for the Metro de Madrid,<\/strong> as well as providing <strong>greater efficiency in the organization\u2019s performance<\/strong> and resulting in <strong>logistical savings<\/strong>, greater efficiency in daily activities, and <strong>shorter response times<\/strong> to resolving incidents that arise, as remarked by Pedro Roll\u00e1n, acting president of the Community of Madrid.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
