{"id":89599,"date":"2019-08-13T08:30:48","date_gmt":"2019-08-13T06:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=89599"},"modified":"2022-12-21T08:58:26","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T07:58:26","slug":"cadagua-is-participating-in-the-lifesto3re","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/cadagua-is-participating-in-the-lifesto3re\/","title":{"rendered":"Cadagua Is Participating in the LifeSto3re Conference on Trends and Innovation in Anaerobic Digestion and Sludge Management"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Representatives from the different entities that make up the LifeSto3re initiative, including Cadagua, came together to analyze the latest trends and innovations related to anaerobic digestion of sludge and slurry, as well as managing sludge produced in small and medium-sized wastewater treatment plants.<\/p>\n<p>At the conference, Cadagua gave a presentation entitled &#8220;System for dosage and mixing lime in dehydrated sludge for sterilization,&#8221; a technique that the company designed and built and that has been in operation since 2017 in the sludge line at the <strong>Fuente Alamo treatment plant<\/strong> for ESAMUR (<em>Entidad de Saneamiento y Depuraci\u00f3n de aguas residuales de la Regi\u00f3n de Murcia<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The European research project LIFE STO3RE, launched in September 2015, has done pilot testing on joint management of sewage sludge and slurry at the Totana treatment plant in Murcia. By combining different technologies that integrate biological and physicochemical processes, they have managed to eliminate organic microcontaminants and pathogens present in sludge and slurry, simultaneously obtaining reusable biogas as an energy source, as well as nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus for agricultural use in the area.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
