The project, which is led by FundingBox<\/a> and backed by major accelerators, venture capital entities, and RTO, selected the winners after deliberation where 44 startups and SMEs presented themselves to a panel of experts.<\/p>\n

The jury was composed of technical experts, representatives of venture capital firms, and members of large corporations from the RobotUnion consortium: Fundingbox (PL) as the program coordinator; ISDI (ES) as head of business mentoring; ODENSE Seed and Venture (DK), Blumorpho (FR), and Chrysalix Venture Capital (CA) in charge of fundraising, technical assistance, and access to the first-class technology provided by the VTT Technical<\/em> Research Centre<\/em> of Finland<\/em> (FI), the Danish Technological Institute<\/em> \u2013 DTI (DK), TU Delft (NL), Tecnalia (ES), and PIAP (PL). Direct access to the chief industry leaders is made possible by MADE (DK), Ferrovial Services (ES), Fenin (ES), and Mobile World Capital Barcelona (ES) as a communications and public relations partner.<\/p>\n

Finally, 20 startups and SMEs were chosen to join the acceleration program<\/strong> for RobotUnion\u2019s second open call. These companies will start an acceleration process that will last as long as 14 months. Along with funding, start-ups will receive extensive technical and technological support<\/strong> provided by Europe’s leading R&D institutes in robotics.<\/p>\n

Entrepreneurs will also be in direct contact with leaders in the agri-food, health, civil engineering, and manufacturing sectors via the participation of organizations such as MADE, Ferrovial Services, ARLA Foods, and FENIN.<\/p>\n

RobotUnion will invest \u20ac<\/strong>4 million in 40 companies across 2 open calls<\/strong>, which are open until 2020. For each open call, 20 companies will be selected and up to \u20ac2 million will be invested in them.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
