The agreement includes delivering specialized maintenance services<\/strong> for equipment and infrastructure in the areas of secondary and tertiary grinding for Chile\u2019s state-owned company Codelco Divisi\u00f3n Radomiro Tomic, located in Calama, which is the largest producer of copper in the world.<\/p>\n

As such, for the next 5 years<\/strong> the company will be in charge of carrying out all kinds of work-related to preventive and predictive maintenance, improving facilities and everything needed for equipment and parts to stay operational, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety policies, quality, and environmental protection for Codelco\u2019s Radomiro Tomic Division.<\/p>\n

Innovative solutions for the mining sector<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The company has forged a strategic partnership with Codelco, the world’s largest copper producer<\/strong>, and it provides services at all stages of the company’s production chain in operating the mines at Chuquicamata, Radomiro Tomic, Ministro Hales, Teniente, the Ventanas refinery, and Andina. It also has a strong presence in the private mining industry in Chile, working for clients such as BHP Billiton, Antofagasta Minerals, and Angloamerican.\u00a0In addition, the company was recently awarded a contract for upkeep at mechanical workshops in Chuquicamata, as well as the assignment of heavy machinery in Gabriela Mistral, among other things. The company provides innovative, comprehensive, specialized solutions in critical services for mining and industry.<\/a> Its main activities focus on industrial maintenance, operational support, cross-cutting services, and environmental projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial Services was recently awarded new contracts worth more than \u20ac38 million in this sector in the Andean country<\/a>. The awards include maintenance and operation of facilities for the Codelco company \u2013 the world’s leading copper producer \u2013 and BHP in the mines at Ministro Hales, Chuquicamata, Escondida,
