{"id":91513,"date":"2019-11-20T08:45:05","date_gmt":"2019-11-20T07:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/?post_type=new&#038;p=91513"},"modified":"2022-12-21T08:55:10","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T07:55:10","slug":"ferrovial-services-launches-dugud-to-boost-recycling-in-cities","status":"publish","type":"new","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/news\/ferrovial-services-launches-dugud-to-boost-recycling-in-cities\/","title":{"rendered":"Dugud, an App to Boost Recycling in Cities"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>The mobile app, &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/videos\/ferrovial-services-creates-dugud-an-application-for-responsive-cities-and-collaborative-citizens\/?video_fullscreen=91277\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dugud<\/a>,\u2019 is still in the pilot phase and awards prizes to residents for earning points for <strong>good<\/strong> <strong>recycling practices. <\/strong>Residents will have an electronic key to put waste in containers, which will measure the amount of organic matter deposited. Through this process, users will later be able to redeem points for different prizes, like museum tickets, cinemas, discounts on transit vouchers, and a range of social and environmental projects that may be implemented in their respective neighborhoods or districts.<\/p>\n<p>To date, a pilot version of the app has been installed in the municipality of Getxo, Bizkaia, and it is expected to be implemented in other municipalities where the company is in operation. This project is one of several initiatives launched by Ferrovial as part of the company\u2019s commitment to<strong> environmental solutions<\/strong> that promote circular economy.\u00a0 Recently, the company launched the digital platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.remad.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;ReMAD&#8217;<\/a> in partnership with the Madrid City Council. This platform seeks to promote reusing secondhand objects through swapping at municipal recycling centers.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
