As such, the company will provide surveillance, facility maintenance, the electricity supply, lighting, signage, accident care, and communications services on this section of the AP1, in addition to preparing reports on the highway\u2019s status and the number of incidents related to road safety.<\/p>\n

As for Ferrovial Services, the company will be responsible for keeping up the entire Madrid highway network, which belongs to the Ministry of Development and includes the 267 kilometers equivalent in high capacity roads, with sections that support daily traffic of up to 191,000 vehicles. It also includes the toll-free airport roads M-11, M-12, M-13, and M-14. Among the most significant tasks are handling uninterrupted primary care for accidents and incidents through the surveillance services and the tunnel control center; maintenance and management of public lighting and four tunnels; services for winter road care and road safety; and more.<\/p>\n

Road maintenance in Spain<\/h2>\n

Ferrovial Services offers its customers a wide range of comprehensive services for keeping their transportation infrastructure and assets in optimal, operational conditions for as long as possible. In Spain, the company is responsible for the maintenance and operation of different transportation infrastructures, such as several sections of the A2 motorway through Aragon (about 100 kilometers in total). With this contract, the company has been faced with improvement and conditioning the infrastructure to equip it for the quality and safety requirements of the more than 33,000 users who travel that stretch every day.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial Services also manages the upkeep and maintenance of the M-30, Madrid’s main bypass ring, for the more than two million users who travel daily on this road surrounding the central part of the city, which plays a key role in traffic flow in one of Europe’s largest metropolitan areas, with more than 7.3 million inhabitants.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
