Ferrovial has the first carbon-neutral highway in Dallas.<\/p>\n<p>Madridejos remarked that high-performing companies in terms of sustainability are also high-performing in the financial arena.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-L wp-image-92700\" src=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/whatsapp-image-2019-12-04-at-14-19-33-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"Ignacio Madridejos, Consejero Delegado de Ferrovial, participa en la COP25\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Enag\u00e1s CEO Marcelino Oreja said that the company has reduced its emissions by 50% over four years and is committed to a further 20% reduction by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>The president of Talgo, Carlos de Palacio, emphasized that Talgo manufactures trains that are 25% to 30% lighter than those from other manufacturers, thus consuming around 25% to 30% less energy.<\/p>\n<p>Founder of Cerealto Siro Foods Juan Manuel G\u00f3mez de la Serna explained that reducing the waste produced is one of the vectors of his company\u2019s strategy. Since 2018, all of its factories have reached zero waste.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Minister of Industry Reyes Maroto, who brought the panel to a close, highlighted the big companies that have turned the fight against climate change into an opportunity, adding that they should encourage small and medium-sized companies to move toward that path.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
