In its capacity as a construction company and also as a service provider and innovator, the company is working on a number of initiatives to curb the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial has built on a pro bono basis these COVID-express centers with which it can be gathered between 70 and 80 daily tests inside the vehicle. Up to five units are expected to be built to carry out tests in different locations on the island of Mallorca.<\/p>\n<p>These COVID-express units are aimed at public health professionals, special services personnel (security forces, etc.), as well as the most vulnerable groups in the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Construction capacity to fight a pandemic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company has also offered to convert public buildings, such as sports pavilions and trade fairs, into healthcare facilities. It is working with the Madrid Regional Government\u2019s Ministry of Health and the Military Emergency Unit (UME) to install a field hospital in IFEMA, Madrid\u2019s trade fair, in order to deal with the large number of cases of coronavirus in the region. 60 Ferrovial professionals are assembling 500 beds in the facility, which will ultimately hold 5,500 beds, making it the largest hospital in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The company could also build a field hospital with capacity for 250 beds.<\/p>\n<p>Also, through its procurement channels, the company has placed an initial order for respirators that will be donated to hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>The company has also offered to build a field hospital with capacity for 250 ICU beds.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial has placed an initial order for 120 respirators and over a million masks that are expected to arrive in Spain in the following days and that will be donated to the Health Administration. Furthermore, the company has actively taken part in the development of the \u201cCoronaMadrid\u201d website and app alongside other companies and with the cooperation of the Madrid Regional Government. Its objective is facilitating the diagnosis, keeping track of patients, organizing healthcare resources better and avoiding the saturation of emergency numbers and assistance services. The company has also allocated a total of 830 parking spaces free of charge for use by healthcare personnel in Madrid and Santander. Also, its engineers are designing 3D solutions to produce ventilators and masks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
