Last month, PLW<\/span><\/a>\u2019s Quality Manager Hugh Brightwell was invited to become part of their Commercial Construction Industry Advisory Board (IAB) for a two-year term beginning in 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the board, Brightwell was selected as the Chairman for the Curriculum Committee of the Construction Management Degree Program<\/b>. This committee has been tasked with developing a class curriculum for the construction industry, that will specifically target verbal and written communication skills needed in the construction field including presentation, negotiation and technical writing. The class will be piloted in Fall 2020 and will be part of the accredited curriculum for Construction Management.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

\n I plan to assist in development of the new class and then develop an infrastructure-related course track similar to the existing commercial and industrial that will allow students to take courses associated with heavy highway, utilities and process facility work <\/blockquote>\n\n
