Como valoraci\u00f3n a esta propuesta, Stephen Nelson, consejero delegado de BAA, ha afirmado que:<\/p>\n<p>El incentivo que contiene esta propuesta inicial es insatisfactorio. Genera incertidumbre en un momento en el que hay que tomar importantes decisiones de inversi\u00f3n, cuyo resultado afectar\u00e1 directamente la calidad del servicio a los pasajeros durante los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os, se\u00f1ala Stephen Nelson.<\/p>\n<p>Tenemos planes para invertir \u00a39.500 millones de libras (13.800 millones de euros) en Heathrow, Gatwick y Stansted durante los pr\u00f3ximos 10 a\u00f1os, a fin de proporcionar nuevas instalaciones aeroportuarias que son muy necesarias para mejorar sustancialmente el servicio a los pasajeros que utilizan los aeropuertos brit\u00e1nicos. Ya estamos transformando Heathrow, con un proyecto de \u00a34.200 millones de libras (6.090 millones de euros) para la Terminal 5, que abrir\u00e1 en marzo de 2008. A esta escala, la inversi\u00f3n a largo plazo requiere un marco regulatorio estable que la fomente. En nuestra opini\u00f3n, las propuestas iniciales de la CAA para el control de precios empeoran este marco, y puede interpretarse como un cambio de rumbo.<\/p>\n<p>En relaci\u00f3n a la recomendaci\u00f3n de la CAA de desregularizar el aeropuerto de Stansted, el consejero delegado de BAA ha afirmado que:<\/p>\n<p>Nos reservamos nuestra valoraci\u00f3n sobre esta recomendaci\u00f3n hasta que hayamos podido revisarla junto al informe del mercado brit\u00e1nico de aeropuertos realizado por la OFT (Office of Fair Trading Defensa de la Competencia).<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
