The contract is worth USD 261.8 million (equivalent to more than \u20ac230 million).<\/p>\n<p>The project is Webber&#8217;s first in North Carolina, where Cintra is in charge of the I-77 Express Lanes, which were built by Ferrovial.<\/p>\n<p>Work is expected to begin in February and to take four years to complete; it includes the construction of seven bridges and other infrastructures.<\/p>\n<p>The contract is part of a project launched by the North Carolina Department of Transportation involving the construction of a multi-lane beltway to the north of the city of Winston-Salem, in Forsyth County. This project is expected to reduce congestion and improve safety on one of the busiest routes in the area while boosting the region&#8217;s economy.<\/p>\n<p>With this contract, Webber is working on 50 projects, in Texas, Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina. Ferrovial&#8217;s US subsidiary recently announced that it has been selected to build two highways in Texas, in Guadalupe and Hays counties, for USD 161.5 million (equivalent to approximately \u20ac142 million euro). It has also been chosen to expand the I-35 in San Antonio (Texas) for USD 1,500 million (some \u20ac 1,274 million), in partnership with Ferrovial Construction.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
