The contract is worth <strong>\u20ac438 million<\/strong>. The work is part of the Grand Paris Express program, <strong>Europe&#8217;s largest infrastructure project<\/strong>, which includes adding <strong>68 new stations<\/strong> and <strong>200 kilometers<\/strong> of track to the Paris underground railway.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:2,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559685&quot;:170,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Under the contract, Ferrovial will bore<strong> 6.7 kilometers<\/strong> of tunnel between the Saint-Quentin Est and Versailles-Chantiers stations, in western Paris. The company has been operating in France since 2013, having executed four contracts in ITER, the world&#8217;s largest experimental fusion facility, whose goal is to research the feasibility of fusion energy. They include construction of the Tokamak complex, the building that houses the reactor core.
