Ferrovial in the eyes of Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ballester\u201d<\/strong> exhibition at Espacio Fundaci\u00f3n Telef\u00f3nica, which runs until October 2. The exhibition displays the vision of Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ballester, a painter and photographer, after spending a year photographing Ferrovial projects around the world.<\/p>\n<p>The King was accompanied by Raquel S\u00e1nchez, Minister for Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda; <strong>Rafael del Pino, Chairman of Ferrovial<\/strong>; and Carmen Moren\u00e9s, General Director of Telef\u00f3nica Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition coincides with the <strong>70th anniversary of Ferrovial&#8217;s foundation<\/strong>. To mark the occasion, Ferrovial invited Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ballester, winner of the Spanish National Photography Prize in 2010, to compile a portrait of the company through its main activities and projects around the world. The exhibition, <strong>curated by Mar\u00eda del Corral and Lorena Mart\u00ednez del Corral<\/strong>, selected 44 large format photographs in a number of categories: landmark buildings, bridges and viaducts, dams, subways, roads, airports and tunnels. This is the second time that the artist has worked with the company on a project of this type; the previous occasion was in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Manuel Ballester traveled more than <strong>30,000 kilometers during the year<\/strong> that the project lasted, photographing some 50 projects in Australia, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States, Canada, Colombia, Peru and Chile. The journey enabled him to capture his personal vision, as a painter and photographer, of the structures, buildings and spaces developed by Ferrovial. The pictures in the exhibition reflect the <strong>complexity and breadth of the projects<\/strong> that Ferrovial undertakes, covering the full infrastructure life cycle, from planning and construction through to operation and maintenance.
