Ferroser provides the following services: energy efficiency, legionella prevention, management of electro-medical equipment, call centers and ambulances.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ferroser, a Ferrovial Services subsidiary specialized in infrastructure maintenance and facility management, was recently awarded several hospital maintenance contracts with a total value of close to 30 million euro.<\/p>\n<p>Santiago Olivares, CEO of Ferrovial Services: &#8220;The company is in a position to provide maintenance and facility management services to this highly sensitive sector, where patient interaction is vital for offering top-quality service.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ferroser recently signed two new 2-year contracts to provide maintenance services at Son Ll\u00e0tzer Hospital (Palma de Mallorca) and cleaning services at Reina Sofia Hospital (Murcia). In Madrid, the company renewed existing maintenance contracts at Torrej\u00f3n de Ardoz and San Rafael Hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>Ferroser will also provide end-to-end maintenance services at three hospitals in Castilla-La Mancha: Tomelloso (Ciudad Real), and Almansa and Villarrobledo (both in Albacete). The company will also manage Villarrobledo Hospital&#8217;s electro-medical equipment. Ferroser renewed its cleaning contract with Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Misericordia Hospital in Toledo. In Andaluc\u00eda, the company will maintain Benalm\u00e1dena Hospital (M\u00e1laga) and clean Osuna Hospital (Seville). It will also provide maintenance services at several facilities at the Valladolid University Clinic as well as at San Isidro Hospital (Le\u00f3n), and cleaning services at the Primary Care Centre in Valladolid. Ferroser will maintain both the Doctor Moliner and the Rivera Hospitals in Valencia.<\/p>\n<p>The services Ferroser provides include managing electro-medical equipment, call centers, cleaning, and patient transport. The company also applies cutting-edge management systems to improve hospitals&#8217; energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Santiago Olivares: &#8220;We are making excellent progress in improving hospitals&#8217; energy efficiency, and we are working with <a href=\"http:\/\/web.mit.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">MIT<\/a> to develop an energy management system with a view to increasing energy savings at hospitals in Spain.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other activities in the healthcare sector<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cespa, a Ferrovial Services subsidiary specialized in municipal services and waste treatment, has many clients in the healthcare sector. It offers services such as end-to-end management of hazardous and non-hazardous clinical waste, including bin supply, and waste collection, transport, storage, transfer, treatment and elimination.<\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s six processing centers and transfer plant manage 9,000 tons of hazardous clinical waste and close to 390,000 biohazardous waste bins, serving over 40,000 hospital beds.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
