{"id":1129,"date":"2013-10-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-10-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/press_releases\/ferrovial-strengthens-services-division-greater-international-presence-integrated-specialised-offering\/"},"modified":"2022-12-21T12:11:43","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T11:11:43","slug":"ferrovial-strengthens-services-division-greater-international-presence-integrated-specialised-offering","status":"publish","type":"press_release","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/press-releases\/ferrovial-strengthens-services-division-greater-international-presence-integrated-specialised-offering\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial strengthens its Services division with a greater international presence and an integrated, specialised offering"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p><a title=\"About Ferrovial Services\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/en\/business-lines\/ferrovial-services\/about-ferrovial-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrovial Services<\/a> has announced a <strong>new organisation structure with the aim of maintaining the division&#8217;s growth trend <\/strong>while focusing on an integrated service offering and seizing opportunities that may arise in the areas of Intelligent Cities, infrastructure design and maintenance, environmental services, <strong>energy efficiency<\/strong>, and transport infrastructure management.<\/p>\n<p>Having ended the first half of 2013 <strong>with a record backlog of 15.592 billion euro<\/strong>, the division has stepped up its internationalisation strategy after recently completing the acquisition of <a title=\"Enterprise\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/press_releases\/Ferrovial-completes-acquisition-Enterprise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Enterprise<\/a> in the <strong>UK <\/strong>and <a title=\"Steel Ingenier\u00eda\" href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/press_releases\/Ferrovial-mining-services-Steel-Ingenieria-Chile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steel Ingenier\u00eda<\/a> in <strong>Chile<\/strong>, as well as landing contracts in the UK, Portugal, Poland and Qatar.<\/p>\n<p>The new structure includes four <strong>Centres of Competence that will enable the division to develop new technical capabilities<\/strong> and place existing capabilities at the disposal of the Business Units. It will also enhance the integrated services offering. Additionally, the business units will be organised into three geographies: Spain, UK and International.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This new organisation will enable us to address the current challenges and opportunities. Following these recent acquisitions, we have designed <strong>an organisation that enables us to continue to grow profitably, leverage all our distinctive capacities <\/strong>and provide integrated services to our clients,&#8221; said Santiago Olivares, Managing Director of Ferrovial Services.<\/p>\n<p>The new Business Units will be responsible for all of the Ferrovial Services activities in their respective geographies.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Spain:<\/strong> The offering of Cespa and Ferroser will be combined under the Ferrovial Services Spain brand, managed by Ignacio Gast\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li><strong>UK<\/strong>: Amey, managed by Mel Ewell, integrates Enterprise and AmeyCespa.<\/li>\n<li><strong>International<\/strong>: This unit groups the other countries where we operate, such as Chile, Poland, Colombia and Qatar. Gonzalo Nieto will be in charge of this new business area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Centres of Competence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The four Centres of Competence will develop new technical capabilities and place them at the disposal of those Business Units.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cities: <\/strong>will continue the work that commenced about one year ago to develop our own approach based on service integration, new technologies, and citizen participation. Enrique S\u00e1nchez Nuevo will remain in charge of this area.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Environment:<\/strong> Will enhance the company&#8217;s capabilities in the environmental area and support bidding, design and construction of waste treatment plants, under Vicente Galv\u00e1n.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Infrastructure maintenance:<\/strong> Will provide advice as regards bidding and implementing energy efficiency, facility management and road maintenance projects, under the management of Juan Ignacio Beltr\u00e1n.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Asset Management: <\/strong>Will support the Business Units in designing and managing transport infrastructures, under the management of Andrew Milner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With an order book of over 15.592 billion euro at mid-2013, Ferrovial Services is a leading player in Spain and the United Kingdom in its main lines of business: infrastructure maintenance, environmental services, facility management, and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n
