Ferrovial<\/a>, through its U.S. construction subsidiary, has been awarded the contract to improve a section of I-85<\/strong> in Atlanta, Georgia, for USD 79 million (equivalent to approximately 71 million euros). The project reinforces its presence in the country, a strategic market<\/strong> for the company generating the largest volume of its income.<\/p>\n

The Georgia Department of Transportation<\/strong> (GDOT) has selected Ferrovial Construction for the project to design, build and improve the intersection of I-85 at SR 42\/North Druid Hills Road, reducing crash frequency and traffic congestion. The scope of the work includes adding a displaced left-turn interchange, constructing a braided ramp, and replacing an aging bridge. Construction will begin in late 2023 and completion is expected by late November 2025.<\/p>\n

The award reinforces Ferrovial Construction\u2019s presence in Georgia, where it also currently manages the 285\/400 highway improvement project<\/a> in Atlanta, a project worth USD 450 million (equivalent to approximately 408 million euros). It has also carried out the improvement of I-16\/I-75<\/strong> in Bibb County, also in Georgia, for USD 228 million (equivalent to approximately 207 million euros), as well as the rehabilitation of the I-75 highway, located in Peach County. Ferrovial Construction has been present in the United States for more than 15 years<\/strong> and has built vital infrastructure such as the Managed Lanes in Dallas-Fort Worth and segments of the SH 99 Grand Parkway in Houston.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
