Including this contract for 6.7 kilometers, Ferrovial Agroman will have built over 320 kilometers of roads in Ireland.<\/p>\n

This new project is scheduled for completion in 2013 and is worth 25 million euro.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial, through construction subsidiary Ferrovial Agroman<\/a>, has been named provisional preferred bidder, in consortium with UK company P.T. McWilliams Limited, to design and build a 6.7 kilometer road in Butlersbridge, which includes the Belturbet bypass, in Cavan, Republic of Ireland.<\/p>\n

This 25 million euro contract was awarded by the National Roads Authority and the Cavan County Council; construction is scheduled for completion in February 2013.<\/p>\n

The project includes the construction of two viaducts measuring over 350 meters long in total. The first, Erne River Bridge, will be a cable-stayed bridge with three spans measuring 141 meters in total, including a central 70-meter span over the River Erne. The second, Aghnaguig Bog Bridge, will consist of a series of concrete cantilevers, with three spans measuring 210 meters in total, including a central 110-meter span.<\/p>\n

Since Ferrovial Agroman commenced operations in Ireland in 2003, it has built 177 kilometers of high-capacity roads and 145 kilometers of regional and local roads. Ferrovial also has 90 kilometers of toll road concessions in Ireland through Cintra (M4-M6 and M3) and maintains another 145 kilometers of roads in Northern Ireland through subsidiary Amey.<\/p>\n
