This project is part of the future <strong>Cantabria-Mediterranean Corridor<\/strong>, which will provide a rail<strong> connection<\/strong> between the Mediterranean area and Spain&#8217;s northern coast, bypassing the center of the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>700-meter<\/strong> bridge, which will be 14 meters wide, will carry rail traffic across the Ebro River. It will be developed on land located in the municipalities of Valtierra and Castej\u00f3n, both in the Navarra autonomous region.<\/p>\n<p>The European gauge track will be <strong>suitable<\/strong> for <strong>passenger<\/strong> and <em>freight<\/em> traffic. Construction is expected to take three-and-a-half years.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the viaduct over the Ebro River and the rail connection with the Castej\u00f3n-Comarca de Pamplona section of the Zaragoza Pamplona High Speed Line has been planned in direct coordination with the Government of Navarra, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing, Food and Environment, the municipalities of Valtierra and Castej\u00f3n, Red El\u00e9ctrica de Espa\u00f1a and the companies with facilities located in the area where the work is being carried out.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>An initiative under the EU Recovery plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The project budget amounts to <strong>\u20ac58.8 million<\/strong> and it will be executed and funded with the European Union&#8217;s <strong>NextGenerationEU<\/strong> funds as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan for the Spanish economy. This program aims to <strong>mobilize<\/strong> public investment through the end of <strong>2026<\/strong> with the objective of <strong>achieving<\/strong> a <strong>sustainable<\/strong>, resilient recovery in the Member States.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
