The facility, where undergraduate courses in Medicine, Nursing and Physiotherapy will be taught, as well as seven master\u2019s degrees in the area of Health Sciences, is scheduled to open in<strong> 2026.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the contract, which is worth over <strong>\u20ac51 million,<\/strong> the partners will also upgrade the surrounding area by replacing sidewalks, <strong>improving<\/strong> accesses, building an interior plaza, and creating a new street to connect the university with Basurto Hospital by means of a pedestrian walkway.<\/p>\n<p>The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by the Mr. I\u00f1igo Urkullu, <strong>Lehendakari<\/strong> (President) of the Basque Government, Ms. Cristina Uriarte, Regional <strong>Government Minister<\/strong> of Education, Mr. Juan Mar\u00eda Aburto, <strong>Mayor<\/strong> of Bilbao, and Ms. Elixabete Etxanobe, <strong>General Deputy<\/strong> of Bizkaia.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
