The Irish government estimates that the project will cost between 63 and 126 million euros, and the concession will run for 30 years. The road will be 53 km long, including 11 km of newly constructed road. The project forms part of the N1 corridor linking Dublin and Belfast.<\/p>\n<p>Cintra, which heads a consortium with SIAC, an Irish construction company, is competing against Celtic Roads Group, comprised of NTR, Ascon, Nuttal and Dragados.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Short-listed for a second Irish project <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cintra is also in the final phase of Ireland\u00b4s first tender for the privately-financed construction and operation of a toll road: the N4\/N6 Kinnegad-Kilcock Motorway. The project &#8211; one of the eight toll roads envisaged in Ireland\u00b4s National Development Plan 2000-2006 &#8211; is estimated by the government to cost between 253 and 380 million euros, and the concession will run for 30 years. The 35 km road is part of the corridor linking Dublin to the north west. Cintra and SIAC are competing against Erinroute, a group comprised of Carillon, Balfour Beatty, Egis and WS Atkins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Further projects in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Germany <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial is very active in Europe: it is pre-qualified or a finalist for projects worth a total of 3.5 billion euros in Spain (access roads to Barajas airport, Sevilla metro, etc.), Greece (four toll road projects), Portugal (finalist for one toll roads) and Germany (B96).<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial is one of the principal infrastructure development companies in the world: it has a total of 1.7 billion euros in committed investment and manages 15 toll roads in Spain, Portugal, Chile and Canada, 12 airports in Australia, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Chile, and 180,000 parking
