Florence has a throughput of over two million passengers per year, with Paris, Brussels, Milan and Rome as the main destinations. Ferrovial Aeropuertos maintains its interest in the Italian market and will be closely watching the privatization of other airports there in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 concession in Cyprus involves the construction of two new terminal buildings and the related infrastructure at Larnaka and Pafos international airports (construction cost over \u0080220 million) and operating the two airports for 20 years. Larnaka and Pafos are the main points of entry into Cyprus and together handle close to 7 million passengers per year. Ferrovial Aeropuertos is bidding in partnership with Spanish airport company Aena against four international consortia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sydney, Australia\u00b4s largest airport<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial is bidding for a 99-year concession to operate Sydney airport, Australia\u00b4s largest.<\/p>\n<p>Sydney handles 25 million passengers per year, 50% of Australia\u00b4s international traffic, and it has three runways, four passenger terminal buildings, six cargo terminals and six aprons. Ferrovial is bidding in consortium with Macquarie, its partner in the toll road concession business, and the Hochtief group, in competition with two international groups.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ferrovial in the airport business<br \/><\/strong> Since it moved into this market some three years ago, Ferrovial has established itself as one of the top international construction groups with an active presence in the airport management field.<\/p>\n<p>It now manages 11 airports handling over 14 million passenger per year in the UK (where it owns Bristol Airport, the largest airport in south-west England, with Macquarie), Mexico and Chile.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial is the world\u00b4s leading private sector developer of transport infrastructure in terms of investment volume, with over \u00801.5 billion in committed investment, and it manages 15 toll roads in Spain, Portugal, Chile and Canada through subsidiary Cintra, as well as more than 165,000 parking spaces.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
