{"id":1278,"date":"2013-03-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-01T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/press_releases\/ferrovial-extension-north-tarrant-express\/"},"modified":"2025-01-27T10:56:40","modified_gmt":"2025-01-27T09:56:40","slug":"ferrovial-extension-north-tarrant-express","status":"publish","type":"press_release","link":"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/en\/press-releases\/ferrovial-extension-north-tarrant-express\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrovial consortium to expand the North Tarrant Express in Texas with an investment of 1.05 billion euro"},"content":{"rendered":"    <section class=\"wysiwyg text-editor \" id=\"\">\n        <div class=\"container container--narrow container--p-10\">\n            <p>Ferrovial, a trav\u00e9s del consorcio liderado por su filial\u00a0 <a title=\"Sobre Cintra\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/es\/lineas-de-negocio\/autopistas\/sobre-cintra\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cintra Infraestructuras<\/a>, ha firmado hoy con el <a href=\"http:\/\/www.txdot.gov\/\">Departamento de Transporte de Texas<\/a> (TxDOT) el contrato para el dise\u00f1o, construcci\u00f3n, financiaci\u00f3n, operaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de la ampliaci\u00f3n de la autopista North Tarrant Express (NTE) por un importe total aproximado de 1.380 millones de d\u00f3lares (alrededor de 1.050 millones de euros). El consorcio liderado por Cintra, NTE Mobility Partners Segments 3 LLC, est\u00e1 formado por Meridiam Infrastructure y Dallas Police and Fire Pension System.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00e1rea de Dallas\/Fort Worth, donde se halla la NTE, es la quinta zona metropolitana de Estados Unidos y una de las de mayor crecimiento del pa\u00eds. El proyecto incluye los segmentos 3A, de 6,5 millas (10,5 kil\u00f3metros) de longitud, a lo largo de la I35 W, desde Fort Worth hasta la IH-820 con el enlace entre la I35 y la IH-820; y el 3B, de 3,6 millas (5,8 kil\u00f3metros) de longitud desde la conexi\u00f3n con la IH-820 hasta la US 287.<\/p>\n<p>Cintra ser\u00e1 responsable del desarrollo del tramo 3A, cuyo dise\u00f1o y construcci\u00f3n estar\u00e1n a cargo de una UTE entre\u00a0<a title=\"Sobre Ferrovial Agroman\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrovial.com\/es\/lineas-de-negocio\/construccion\/sobre-construccion\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ferrovial Agroman<\/a> y Webber, adem\u00e1s de su operaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento. El Departamento de Transportes de Texas (TxDOT) se encargar\u00e1 de la construcci\u00f3n del tramo 3B y Cintra de su operaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento, adem\u00e1s del cobro de peajes.<\/p>\n<p>El per\u00edodo de concesi\u00f3n de la nueva infraestructura es de 43 a\u00f1os desde el inicio de la operaci\u00f3n, previsto para mediados de 2018. En los pr\u00f3ximos meses se espera alcanzar el cierre financiero del proyecto. Los trabajos de dise\u00f1o y construcci\u00f3n comenzar\u00e1n una vez alcanzado el cierre financiero.<\/p>\n<p>El consorcio liderado por Cintra remodelar\u00e1 los carriles que existen actualmente, que ser\u00e1n libres de peaje, construir\u00e1 otros 2 carriles adicionales por sentido (managed lanes) de peaje electr\u00f3nico y se encargar\u00e1 de la operaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento de toda la v\u00eda. Actualmente, los carriles managed lanes son el sistema de peaje m\u00e1s avanzado, seguro y fiable. Se trata de un sistema totalmente electr\u00f3nico, libre de barreras; es decir, no requiere que los veh\u00edculos se detengan. Sus tarifas ser\u00e1n din\u00e1micas en funci\u00f3n de la demanda.<\/p>\n<p>Este contrato se convierte en el sexto proyecto liderado por Cintra en Estados Unidos. Confirma nuestra fortaleza en el mercado norteamericano donde, en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o, hemos resultado adjudicatarios de tres proyectos, por un valor de 3.850 millones de d\u00f3lares\u0094, declar\u00f3 Enrique D\u00edaz-Rato, consejero delegado de Cintra.<\/p>\n<p>Este es el cuarto proyecto liderado por Cintra en Texas. Con \u00e9l, la inversi\u00f3n gestionada por la compa\u00f1\u00eda en el Estado superar\u00e1 los 7.400 millones de d\u00f3lares. El consorcio encabezado por Cintra se adjudic\u00f3 en 2009 el contrato para desarrollar y operar los dos primeros tramos de la NTE, en el \u00e1rea de Dallas\/Fort Worth. Tambi\u00e9n en Texas, <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/es\/notas_prensa\/ferrovial-inaugura-la-autopista-sh130-en-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cintra inaugur\u00f3 en octubre de 2012 los segmentos 5 y 6 de la autopista SH130<\/a> que conecta las ciudades de Austin y San Antonio, una concesi\u00f3n que gestionar\u00e1 hasta el a\u00f1o 2062. Adem\u00e1s, en Estados Unidos la compa\u00f1\u00eda opera las autopistas Chicago Skyway e Indiana Toll Road, ambas en el norte del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Cintra, filial de Ferrovial, es una compa\u00f1\u00eda l\u00edder en la promoci\u00f3n privada de infraestructuras de transporte en todo el mundo, por n\u00famero de proyectos y por volumen de inversi\u00f3n. Actualmente gestiona m\u00e1s de 2.000 kil\u00f3metros de autopista, repartidos en 24 concesiones en Canad\u00e1, Estados Unidos y Europa. En 2012 inaugur\u00f3 sus oficinas de Colombia y Australia. Cintra es el mayor accionista de la concesionaria de la autopista 407 ETR, en Ontario, Canad\u00e1, con una participaci\u00f3n del 43,23%.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, un consorcio liderado por Ferrovial Agroman, filial de construcci\u00f3n de Ferrovial, fue seleccionado en octubre pasado para realizar el <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.ferrovial.com\/es\/notas_prensa\/el-consorcio-liderado-por-ferrovial-firma-el-contrato-para-la-construccion-de-la-autopista-us-460-en-virginia-por-un-importe-de-1400-millones-de-dolares-1\/\" target=\"_blank\">dise\u00f1o y construcci\u00f3n de la nueva autopista US 460 del Estado de Virginia.<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
