It will also <strong>generate significant environmental improvement<\/strong> as it involves the planting of hundreds of new trees and thousands of shrubs.<\/p>\n<p>The work is part of Madrid City Council&#8217;s strategic plan to enhance functionality, sustainability and urban integration in an area of great importance for the city. It will also <strong>connect the Virgen de Bego\u00f1a district and the future Madrid Nuevo Norte development with the city center<\/strong>, boosting north-south mobility along this urban axis.<\/p>\n<p>The work includes depressing of the road, routing surface-level lanes to the sides, and creating a two-lane cycleway to transform one of the city&#8217;s most congested areas into a more accessible, functional and sustainable space.<\/p>\n<p>It will be carried out by a consortium led by Ferrovial&#8217;s construction division (with a 65% stake) in collaboration with Gyocivil (17.5%) and Licuas (17.5%). This latest commission reaffirms Ferrovial&#8217;s leadership in the development of sustainable infrastructure and in the improvement of urban connectivity, evidencing its capacity to tackle highly complex technical projects with a positive impact for people.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
