data-contrast=\"auto\">Piekie\u0142ko\u00a0railway line in the\u00a0Ma\u0142opolskie\u00a0region of Poland.\u00a0Estimated at 2.58\u00a0billion PLN (\u20ac604\u00a0million) the package is <strong>among the most complex civil engineering projects in Poland\u2019s national rail\u00a0programme<\/strong>.<\/span><span <strong>Ferrovial\u2019s strategic\u00a0positioning\u00a0in Central Europe<\/strong> and\u00a0represents\u00a0the <strong>first-ever\u00a0tunnelling\u00a0joint venture between Ferrovial Construction and\u00a0Budimex<\/strong>, Poland\u2019s leading construction company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The contract was awarded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.polishtrains.eu\/?c=604866767&amp;a=1340307136294617&amp;e=&amp;t=kwd-83770299854312&amp;i=&amp;p=291795&amp;m=b&amp;n=o&amp;d=c&amp;dm=&amp;k=pkp%20train%20tickets&amp;pc=&amp;ap=&amp;r=&amp;utm_source=bing&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;utm_campaign=01N%20PT%20Tickets&amp;utm_term=pkp%20train%20tickets&amp;utm_content=perf&amp;msclkid=a953605044f61b060af009faf36617b5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PKP Polskie Linie\u00a0Kolejowe\u00a0S.A.<\/a>, the public entity responsible for\u00a0maintaining, modernizing, and\u00a0operating\u00a0more than 95% of the country\u2019s railway network.\u00a0The new line forms part of one of <strong>Poland\u2019s most important rail modernization<\/strong> initiatives, <strong>enhancing regional mobility and strengthening connections from Krak\u00f3w toward the south of the country.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2011<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">track railway, two parallel tunnels of approximately 900 m each, and an\u00a0additional\u00a01.9 km\u00a0of electrified single track.\u00a0Major structures include\u00a039\u00a0bridges\u00a0and viaducts,\u00a024\u00a0culverts,\u00a02 underpasses,\u00a018\u00a0retaining\u00a0walls, and extensive ground<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2011<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">improvement works\u00a0totalling\u00a0more than 1,244 km\u00a0of soil<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2011<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">reinforcement columns and 112,500 m<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00b3<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of structural concrete.<\/span><span
