It includes the construction of a 3.2 kilometer runway made of asphalt concrete, adjacent taxiways and roads, as well as modifications to the navigation and communication systems.<\/p>\n<p>Katowice is the largest city in Upper Silesia, an industrial region in southern Poland with a population of 2.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial Agroman has completed several airport infrastructure projects in Poland via Budimex, including the construction of Lublin Airport and the passenger terminal at Gdansk Airport (both completed in 2012), extension of the passenger terminal at Wroclaw Airport, and modifications to the runways at Warsaw Chopin Airport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Ferrovial<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial, one of the world&#8217;s largest infrastructure and city operators, is committed to developing sustainable solutions.
