El consorcio liderado por Ferrovial Agroman<\/a> ha sido seleccionado por el Departamento de Transportes de Texas para dise\u00f1ar y construir el tramo H&I de\u00a0 la carretera de circunvalaci\u00f3n SH 99<\/strong> (tambi\u00e9n conocida como Grand Parkway), en el noreste del \u00e1rea metropolitana del Gran Houston, por 855 millones de d\u00f3lares\u00a0 (equivalentes a 790 millones de euros). El consorcio incluye tambi\u00e9n a Webber LLC<\/a> y Granite Construction Inc<\/a>.<\/p>\n

El proyecto comprende la construcci\u00f3n de un tramo de autopista de 52,5 millas, alrededor de 85 kil\u00f3metros de carretera, atravesando los condados de Chambers, Harris, Liberty y Montgomery. El segmento, que ser\u00e1 de pago, incrementar\u00e1 su capacidad con hasta dos carriles por sentido, entre la US 59 y la I-10, y cuatro carriles,\u00a0 entre la I-10 y la SH 146, todos ellos de peaje. El proyecto comprende la ingenier\u00eda y construcci\u00f3n<\/strong>, pero no la gesti\u00f3n del mismo, que corresponde a TxDOT.<\/p>\n

Se espera que la construcci\u00f3n de los nuevos carriles y la modernizaci\u00f3n de la infraestructura de peaje de la SH 99\u00a0 finalice en seis a\u00f1os. La adquisici\u00f3n de los derechos de paso de 375 parcelas se espera que tenga una duraci\u00f3n de 24 meses. La reubicaci\u00f3n de las acometidas de servicios, que representa el 10% del coste del proyecto, incluye las canalizaciones de gas y petr\u00f3leo. Tambi\u00e9n se construir\u00e1n 74 nuevos puentes a lo largo del proyecto, y se mover\u00e1n m\u00e1s 7,5 millones de metros c\u00fabicos de tierra.<\/p>\n

Ferrovial cuenta con\u00a0 presencia en Texas, donde, a trav\u00e9s de su filial Cintra, opera las autopistas LBJ Express<\/a> y North Tarrant Express<\/a>, en el \u00e1rea urbana de Dallas-Fort Worth. Adem\u00e1s, en el \u00faltimo mes la filial texana de Ferrovial Agroman,\u00a0 Webber, se ha adjudicado las ampliaciones de la carretera I-45<\/a>, en el condado de Walker, al norte de Houston, y de la carretera US 281<\/a> en el Condado de Bexar,\u00a0 en San Antonio.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
