With a height of 11 meters, the dam will comprise three earth dikes: one measuring 9.6 kilometers long on the left bank, one measuring 8.8 meters on the right bank, and a 4-kilometre central dam with a sluice gate. The area behind the dam will have a capacity of 185 million cubic meters of water.<\/p>\n<p>The Racib\u00f3rz Dolny reservoir will be filled only during floods, to protect the areas along the river Oder between Racib\u00f3rz and Wroc\u0142aw, with a population of 2.5 million people.<\/p>\n<p>The contract expands Budimex&#8217;s experience in executing water infrastructure projects. Ferrovial Agroman&#8217;s Polish subsidiary was previously commissioned to refurbish Szczecin-Swinoujscie port, in northern Poland, the P\u0142onie canal, en Gdansk, and the Rydzyna reservoir, in eastern Poland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Ferrovial<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ferrovial is one of the world&#8217;s leading infrastructure operators and municipal services companies, committed to developing sustainable solutions.
