He graduated in Economics and Political Science from Yale and obtained an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid; he has held a number of executive functions at UNESID, Arcelor Mittal, Arcelor Group, Aceralia, Aristrain, Citibank and Cr\u00e9dit Agricole. He is currently a director of Gestamp and Fertiberia.<\/p>\n<p>Santiago Bergareche joined the Board of Ferrovial in 1999, and he was currently a vice-chairman. A graduate in Economics and Law from Deusto University, he has been chairman of Agroman, CEO of Ferrovial, general manager of BBVA, and chairman of Vocento, Metrovacesa and Cespa; as well as a director of Deusto Business School and a trustee of the Ducal House of Medinaceli. The Board expressed its \u201cacknowledgement and gratitude for his dedication and contribution\u201d to Ferrovial during that time.<\/p>\n<p>The appointment of Gonzalo Urquijo continues the process of renewal in the Board of Directors of Ferrovial. Previously, \u00d3scar Fanjul was appointed in 2015; Philip Bowman in 2016; Hanne S\u00f8rensen in 2017; Bruno di Leo in 2018; and Juan Hoyos in 2019. The Board of Directors currently has two executive members, two proprietary members and eight independent members. Its composition is as follows: Rafael del Pino, chairman; Ignacio Madridejos, CEO; \u00d3scar Fanjul, lead independent director; Mar\u00eda del Pino, Santiago Fern\u00e1ndez Valbuena, Jos\u00e9 Fernando S\u00e1nchez-Junco, Joaqu\u00edn del Pino, Philip Bowman, Hanne S\u00f8rensen, Bruno di Leo, Juan Hoyos and Gonzalo Urquijo.
