The Coastal El Ni\u00f1o phenomenon produced a catastrophe. Over 160 fatalities, 1.5 million people affected, 280,000 suffered losses.<br \/>\nThe Coastal El Ni\u00f1o phenomenon arises due to anomalous warming of the sea to over 25\u00baC. The city of Piura, in northern Peru, was the area most affected by the Coastal El Ni\u00f1o. The project will improve sanitation and access to drinking water in the communities of Chato Grande and Chato Chico. The new infrastructure will be operational in 2020. The project will benefit a total of 1,082 people.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n
